UNIT: Durant/Gilgamesh
DAY: 6
Assignment to have been completed: Students should have used the review guide at the end of their packets to have prepared for today’s test over Durant’s “The Conditions of Civilization” and The Epic of Gilgamesh.
Activities:
- A. Administer the Durant/Gilgamesh test. Allow students as much time as necessary ‑ BUT no time beyond the ringing of the bell. Tolerate NO talking.
- B. Have students turn in tests as they complete them.
- C. Instruct students to pick up the Old Testament packet as they turn in their test papers.
Assignment for next class meeting: Students should have read “Background: The Hebrews” and the various translations of Genesis 1:1‑8 and Psalm 23:1‑6 in their packets.
